Minim Cove

Wilkie Civil Engineering (Wilkie) was approached by Octennial to create housing lots on a severely polluted site. The land had previously housed the Cumming Smith Superworks site, a phosphate processing plant. After remedial works, the objective of the subdivision was to create river views for all houses.

We designed the lots so that all houses had river views. The blocks in an adjacent subdivision were not designed in this way and attracted lower prices than the lots designed by Wilkie.

Wilkie was prepared to challenge the existing norms and regulations through good engineering design and judgement to produce an excellent outcome for their client.
